Background
The Department of the Navy, specifically the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC MIDLANT), is issuing a solicitation for the Hangar 404 Fire Protection and Building Envelope Repairs at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The intent of the solicitation is to repair and replace the fire protection system and repair the existing masonry walls, as well as renovate building utility services, fire protection system, and building envelope.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes repairing and replacing the fire protection system, repairing existing masonry walls, renovating building utility services, fire protection system, and building envelope. The contract also requires the completion of a Basis of Design (BOD) to document the principles, assumptions, rationale, criteria, and considerations used for calculations and decisions required during design.
The BOD will include specific brand name finishes and descriptions for interior color and finish selections. The contract will be funded by FY23 O&M,N funds and is required to be completed within 974 days after award.
