Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for a short range, small volume handheld laser scanner that is intended for use on small parts.

Contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 866606-8220 or via the internet at https://sam.gov.

This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR Part 13. Synopsis exception FAR 5.202(a)(13) applies and Solicitation Number N00164-24-Q-0296 is hereby issued as an attachment hereto.

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has issued a requirement for a handheld laser scanner intended for use on small parts. This contract aims to procure a device that meets specific technical specifications to enhance operational capabilities.

Work Details
The contract is for the supply of 1 Handheld Laser Scanner, specifically the Creaform HandySCAN BLACK+ Elite with Accu+ Kit (P/N SYS-H3D-B+EAKS) or an equivalent product that meets the following salient characteristics:

- Must interface with Spatial Analyzer Ultimate and Geomagic software.

- Working distance range: 200 to 750 mm.

- Accuracy specifications:
- Accuracy: ± 25 µm
- Volumetric accuracy: ± 20 µm + 15 µm/m (requires additional accuracy tool kit including at least one 1000mm scale bar with two high-reflectivity targets and at least 39 more high-reflectivity targets).
- Spherical form error: ± 30 µm
- Flat form error: ± 50 µm

- Measurement capabilities:
- Pin: minimum size of 0.75 mm
- Hole: minimum size of 1.25 mm
- Step: minimum size of 0.025 mm
- Wall: minimum size of 0.5 mm

- Measurement speed: at least 1.8 million measurements per second.

- Recommended part working size: between 0.05 m and 4 m.

Quotes must include a firm fixed price for delivery FOB Destination, Crane Indiana, with specified delivery time.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required within 30 days after contract award.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, located at Building 41 SE Central Receiving, 300 Hwy 361, Crane, IN 47522-5001.
