Background
The contract is for hand thinning and hand piling services for the Plumas National Forest. The project area is located on the Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District, in the vicinity of Blairsden, Graeagle, and Mohawk Vista communities. The work involves improving forest health and reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfire by hand thinning and hand piling biomass-sized trees up to 8.0” DBH.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide hand thinning and hand piling services in the Mohawk Vista Project Area. The project work units will be identified on the ground at unit corners, where the unit boundary intersects maintained forest roads, by yellow 'Boundary of Contract Area' signs and yellow flagging. The Government will provide the Contractor with topographic maps and aerial photo prints on which the unit boundaries are delineated.
