HAB Laundy and Galley Repairs IDIQ Contract   4

Background
The contract is issued by the Commander Naval Air Atlantic (CNAL) and Commander Naval Surface Atlantic (CNSL) to provide technical support for the maintenance, overhaul, repair, or replacement of galley and laundry equipment on U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers (CVN) and Surface Ships.

This initiative aims to address habitability issues affecting sailor quality of life onboard, as only 8% of ships met the Material Availability standard for such equipment as of October 2024.

The work will be conducted primarily at Naval Station Norfolk and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for providing parts and personnel to perform repairs, installations, and discarding of old equipment related to laundry and galley maintenance.

Specific tasks include:
1. Diagnostics (open and inspect)
2. Machine and equipment assessment and recommendations
3. Repair of machines and equipment
4. Replacement of machines and equipment
5. Training for Ship’s Force personnel.

The contractor shall perform inspections, examinations, analysis, repairs, and replacements on various types of equipment including:
- Laundry Equipment
- Dry Cleaning Equipment
- Food Service Equipment
- HVAC Systems
- Refrigeration Units
- Fire Suppression Systems.

Additionally, the contractor must adhere to safety protocols regarding nuclear-powered CVNs, ensuring no work is performed in radiation areas or involving radioactive materials.

Period of Performance
The contract has a five-year ordering period with a performance period from January 28, 2025, to January 27, 2030.

Place of Performance
Work will primarily take place on board U.S. Navy vessels located in Norfolk, VA.
