Inspection & Testing of Power Distribution System   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a solicitation for the Inspection & Testing of Power Distribution Systems for the Orlando VA Healthcare System. The purpose of the contract is to ensure all facility buildings meet the operation, testing, and maintenance of electrical power distribution systems and require testing on a routine basis. The contract is unrestricted and has a total award amount of $19 million.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all management, supervision, personnel, services, materials, supplies, facilities, transportation, and general and specialized equipment necessary to perform inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, testing (Infrared Thermographic & Arc Flash included), and documentation of the electrical power distribution system and equipment at the Orlando VA Medical Center. The work includes 100% inspection, testing, maintenance, and/or calibration of essential electrical systems (EES) including transformers, switchgear, switchboards and distribution panels, motor control centers, circuit breakers, protective relays, grounding systems, ground fault protection systems, automatic transfer switches. The work also involves 100% inspection, testing and maintenance of transformers every 36 months.

Period of Performance
The base period of performance for the contract begins on April 1st, 2024 and ends on March 31st, 2025. There are also options for additional periods of performance extending up to March 31st, 2029.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at multiple facilities including Orlando VA Medical Center (Lake Nona campus), Lake Baldwin VAMC, Lakemont Campus in Orlando FL and Viera VA Healthcare Center in Viera FL.
