Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for Critical Water Testing and Treatment services at the Marion VA Medical Center and Evansville Health Care Center. The objective is to establish a maintenance contract that ensures water quality for sterile processing in compliance with ANSI/AAMI ST108: 2023 standards, which are critical for the health of both staff and patients.

Work Details
The contractor will provide ongoing testing and treatment of critical water, utility water, and steam condensate. Services include:

1. Sterile Processing (SPS) water quality testing, maintenance, and treatment according to ANSI/AAMI ST108: 2023.
2. Scheduled sampling of potable and non-potable water systems with necessary treatments within 24 hours of results indicating out-of-range values.
3. Monthly testing for pH, conductivity, total alkalinity, total hardness, bacteria, and endotoxin levels for critical water; quarterly testing for utility water.
4. Annual tests for ionic contaminants at the facility's water main.
5. Reporting requirements including immediate interpretation of results and a written report within 7-10 days post-sampling.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over five years with ordering periods from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Marion VA Medical Center located at 2401 West Main Street, Marion IL 62959-1188 and the Evansville Health Care Center located at 6211 E Waterford Blvd, Evansville IN 47715.
