Background
The Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN requires scheduled annual roof inspections on all buildings on the VAMC campus to ensure the integrity and safety of approximately 109 individual roofs covering 235,000 square feet.

Work Details
The contractor shall conduct one initial and one annual inspection of each roof on the VAMC campus. They will complete a VA-provided roof inspection checklist, attend pre-inspection meetings, and provide detailed reports that include roofing material, defects, potential future leaks or damage, and recommendations for repair or replacement.

The contractor must be certified in applicable fields for EPDM, Poly-urethane spray foam, ballast, and PVC coated roofing systems. They will also provide quotes for extensive repairs or replacements and coordinate traffic shutdowns if necessary. Compliance with VA specifications and safety regulations is mandatory.

Period of Performance
Initial inspection to be completed within 60 days of contract award, taking approximately two weeks. Annual inspection to be conducted no later than 365 days and no earlier than 10 months from the initial inspection completion date, expected to take approximately one week.
