The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, software and qualified personnel, to provide medical physicist services in support of the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System, (VA NCHCS) Radiation Safety Program, headquartered at the VA Medical Center Sacramento at Mather, California. Satellite offices are located at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Martinez, Redding, Stockton, Sonora, Modesto, Mare Island and McClellan California.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide medical physicist services in support of the Veterans Affairs Northern California Health Care System (VA NCHCS) Radiation Safety Program. The primary location for this contract will be the VA Medical Center Sacramento at Mather, California, with additional satellite offices located in Martinez, Redding, Stockton, Sonora, Modesto, Mare Island, and McClellan.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, software, and qualified personnel necessary to deliver medical physicist services. Key tasks include:

1. Performing quarterly, semi-annual, and annual quality control testing on Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic x-ray equipment.
2. Conducting acceptance testing of new devices and full inspections of repaired or adjusted equipment.
3. Providing consultation for safety training and other related services as needed.
4. Attending Radiation Safety Meetings and reviewing relevant policies and procedures.
5. Submitting written reports of surveys and test results promptly.
6. Ensuring that all contractor employees meet specific qualifications including residency within 180 miles of clinical sites and holding necessary certifications in medical physics.

Period of Performance
The contract period will begin on September 1, 2026, and end on August 31, 2027. There is an option for one additional year from September 1, 2027, to August 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the VA Medical Center Sacramento at Mather, California, as well as at various satellite offices located in Martinez, Redding, Stockton, Sonora, Modesto, Mare Island, and McClellan California.
