This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.603. The National Acquisition Center (NAC), High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME) Contract Administration Division issues a Request for Proposal (RFP) 36H79725R0001 for High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME) Inspection Services for the Department of Veterans Affairs. This solicitation is for a one-year base period with four (4) option years. The VA NAC intends to award a single award, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract from this solicitation. The applicable NAICS code for this procurement is 541380 (Testing Laboratories) with a size standard of $19 million, and it is 100% set aside for small businesses under PSC H365. Solicitation number 36H79725R0001 will close on April 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM CT. Background
The National Acquisition Center (NAC) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) 36H79725R0001 for High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME) Inspection Services. The goal of this contract is to provide continuous testing and acceptance inspection services for high-tech medical equipment purchased by the VA, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and federal guidelines. This solicitation is set aside for small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, and equipment for Acceptance Testing Services by a Qualified Medical Physicist (QMP) for various types of medical equipment modalities including Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and others as listed in the Performance Work Statement.

The contractor must ensure that all inspections meet VA's General Specification and testing protocol requirements as well as all applicable Federal Government safety and performance requirements. The contractor shall create detailed reports after inspections that include testing guidelines utilized, deficiencies identified, and recommendations for acceptance or rejection of the equipment. Inspections will be performed at VA Medical Centers across the United States, including both CONUS and OCONUS locations.
