Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is searching for vendors with the capabilities to provide a 3rd party, QEI 1 Certified elevator Inspection of all elevators two times per year. The type of tests includes one Periodic Inspection per year, one Annual Safety Test per year, and a Five Year Load Test once every five years. This will take place at the Hines, IL VAMC located at 5000 South Avenue. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, material, parts, software, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary for execution of the work to be performed under this Contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541350. All interested, responsible sources must submit a capability statement by February 25th, 2025 at 3:00 PM CST, to Makena.James@VA.gov to include the following: DUNS number, organization name, organization address, point of contact, business size under NAICS 541350, and socioeconomic status. This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes to determine the availability of qualified vendors and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this Sources Sought that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Please note that this is not a request for proposal and the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is seeking vendors capable of providing third-party, QEI-1 Certified elevator inspections at the Edward Hines Junior Hospital in Hines, IL.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and compliance of all elevators through regular inspections and testing as mandated by industry standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:
1. Conduct a total of two elevator inspections per year, which includes:
a. One Periodic Inspection annually.
b. One Annual Safety Test annually.
c. One Five-Year Load Test every five years.
2. Provide all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, parts, software, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, supervision, and other items required for the execution of the work under this contract.
