This contract aims to ensure that the facility meets necessary safety standards and regulations as part of its mission to provide quality healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall complete a Fire and Life Safety Survey of the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VAMC, which includes: conducting a visual inspection of rooms (excluding patient-occupied rooms), verifying the construction and maintenance of hazardous rooms, ensuring designated suites meet exit separation and means of egress requirements, inspecting fire and smoke doors, checking fire extinguisher and smoke detector placements, conducting a random 20% survey of fire and smoke barrier walls above accessible ceilings, verifying occupancy classifications, and reviewing electronic Joint Commission data if requested.

The contractor must provide draft documents including a Deficiency List, Surveyor Drawings, Maintenance Drawings, and Penetration Drawings for VA review. Upon completion of the draft review, final documents must be produced including all drawings in PDF and AutoCAD formats as well as paper copies.
