Background
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a Multi-Sensor Core Logger. The goal of this contract is to procure equipment that can non-destructively characterize rock cores, which is essential for geological and energy-related research.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a Multi-Sensor Core Logger that meets the salient characteristics and technical specifications outlined in Attachments A and B. Key requirements include:
- Automated multiple sensor track with horizontal core mounting and scanning position.
- Capability to scan unconsolidated sediment cores in liners and rock cores.
- System must allow cores to move in the X direction while sensors remain stationary during measurements.
- Integration of various sensor technologies including gamma density, P and S wave velocity, natural gamma, VIS/VNIR/SWIR spectrometer, handheld pXRF spectrometer, magnetic susceptibility sensors, and color spectrophotometer.
- Continuous acquisition capability for multiple sections of core within one sampling run without requiring a cooling system.
- Delivery includes installation at NETL in Morgantown, West Virginia, along with training for personnel on operation, safety, data acquisition, and processing.
- Warranty for all new components must be provided for one year following installation.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the National Energy Technology Laboratory located at 3610 Collins Ferry Road, Morgantown, WV 26505.
