Background
The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all labor, parts, tools, and equipment to perform monthly testing and reporting and preventative maintenance repairs for the Salt Pond Visitor Center Wastewater Treatment System located within Cape Cod National Seashore (CACO). The system is designed to maximize nitrogen removal from wastewater and comply with environmental health objectives.

Work Details
The scope of work includes monthly testing of influent and effluent water parameters, such as BOD 5, Total Suspended Solids, pH, Alkalinity, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, and Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen. The contractor is also responsible for monthly system adjustments to maintain effluent discharge concentrations of total nitrogen below state limits. Additionally, routine preventative maintenance work will be performed on system components including recirculating pumps, valves, timers, flow meters, samplers, monitoring equipment, carbon tank, and chemical feeds. The contract also includes an option year for additional services if needed.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base contract is from July 15, 2023 to July 14, 2024. There is an option year from July 15, 2024 to July 14, 2025. Additionally, there is a potential six-month extension option if required.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Salt Pond Visitor Center located at 50 Nauset Road in Eastham, MA within Cape Cod National Seashore.
