Background
The GWMP 335115 Bridge Preservation project is issued by the National Park Service (NPS) under the Department of the Interior. The mission of the NPS is to preserve the natural and cultural resources of the United States for future generations. This contract aims to ensure the preservation and maintenance of critical infrastructure along the George Washington Memorial Parkway, which spans Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

The project is being conducted as a Small Business set-aside, with an estimated price range exceeding $10 million.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various construction tasks associated with bridge preservation, including but not limited to: structural repairs, surface treatments, and any necessary alterations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Specific requirements are detailed in sections B through J of the solicitation documents.

The contractor must also provide performance and payment bonds within 10 calendar days after award.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 416 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed along the George Washington Memorial Parkway, which includes locations in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
