Background
The contract is issued by the Department of the Army, Galveston District, Corps of Engineers, with a mission to maintain and improve the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway in Texas.

The goal of this contract is to perform maintenance dredging from Matagorda Bay to Corpus Christi Bay, ensuring navigability and environmental compliance in the specified areas.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. Mobilization and Demobilization - The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for mobilizing and demobilizing resources for the project.

2. Dredging Gulf Intracoastal Waterway - Approximately 424,000 cubic yards of dredging will be required. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials as outlined in Attachments 1 and 2 (Specifications & Plans).

3. Pipeline Management - The contractor will manage pipelines involved in the dredging process, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.

4. Beach Placement - This task involves placing dredged material at designated beach locations (specifically PA 117A-King Fisher Beach) as per project specifications.

5. Option Dredging Gulf Intracoastal Waterway - An additional option for dredging approximately 196,000 cubic yards in Sections No. 7 & 8 may be exercised based on project needs.

6. Option Pipeline Management - Similar to the primary pipeline management task but under option conditions.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be performed over a period of approximately 47 days after notice to proceed for initial tasks and an additional 18 days for optional tasks.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations for the construction projects include Calhoun, Aransas, and San Patricio County in Texas.
