Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is issuing a contract for maintenance dredging along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from the Texas Channel to Victoria, specifically in Calhoun and Victoria County, Texas.
The goal of this contract is to maintain navigability and support the mission of the Corps in managing water resources effectively.

Work Details
The work consists of several schedules for maintenance dredging:
Schedule 1 involves dredging 827,000 cubic yards (CY) from the Middle and Lower Reaches.
There are options for additional dredging:
- Option 1: 474,000 CY with an additional 36 calendar days;
- Option 2: 522,000 CY with an additional 40 calendar days;
- Option 3: 533,000 CY with an additional 41 calendar days;
- Option 4: 103,000 CY with an additional 10 calendar days.
The completion time for Schedule No. 1 is estimated at 79 calendar days after acknowledgment of the Notice to Proceed.
Liquidated damages will apply for delays beyond this timeframe.
