Guatemala - Network Operating System and Installation Services

Background
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Section at the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala is seeking to procure Network Operating System and Installation Services.

The INL is a leader in developing policies and programs to combat international narcotics trafficking and crime, supporting the Department of State's strategic goals to reduce illegal drug entry into the U.S. and minimize international crime impact. This procurement aims to enhance the capabilities of the Guatemalan National Civil Police (PNC) by upgrading their infrastructure and IT equipment, thereby improving their efficiency in handling criminal investigations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Network Operating System and Installation Services, including:
1. Supply and installation of new networking equipment that must be clean, new, not previously used, and in optimal operating conditions. All manuals must be provided in Spanish.
2. Tasks include:
- Networking Equipment and Configuration for CICANG, including a rack cabinet with network equipment, proper labeling of cables, patch panels, and necessary accessories.
- Configuration of a next-generation firewall compatible with existing infrastructure.
- Installation of various switches (Layer 3 core switch, Layer 2 aggregation switch, Layer 2 access switch) with specified ports and capabilities.
- Provision of optical modules for network connections.
3. The contractor must ensure all equipment operates 24/7 without failure, managing close to 600 cases annually.
4. Compliance with manufacturing requirements for commercial-grade items, schematic drawings for each location based on existing conditions, site visits prior to vendor selection, removal of packaging materials post-installation, certifications related to installation/configuration provided by the vendor, adherence to security procedures on-site without damaging property.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed within 30 calendar days after award.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations in Guatemala City.
