Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for the installation of guardrails at Mansfield Hollow Dam, located in Mansfield, CT. The goal of the contract is to enhance safety by providing approximately 250 linear feet of new pressure-treated guardrail. This procurement is set aside for small business vendors, with a magnitude of construction estimated between $25,000 and $100,000.

Work Details
The contractor will furnish all equipment, materials, and labor necessary for the installation of approximately 250 linear feet of new pressure-treated wooden guardrail at Mansfield Hollow Dam. The work includes:
- Installation of wooden posts (8-inch x 8-inch x minimum 6-foot) and wooden rails (4-inch x 10-inch x 12-foot) made from dry, pressure-treated southern yellow pine.
- All hardware used must be hot-dipped galvanized and appropriately sized for installation.
- The contractor must submit an Accident Prevention Plan (ENG Form 6293), Activity Hazard Analysis (ENG Form 6206), Site Safety and Health Officer Designation Letter (ENG Form 6282), First Aid and CPR certificates, and product specifications prior to commencing work.
- Compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1) is mandatory.

Period of Performance
210 days from notice to proceed.
