GSA PBS - Janitorial Services Whittaker Courthouse - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA) is conducting market research to gather information and understand the capabilities of potential service providers for custodial and related services at the Charles E. Whittaker U.S. Courthouse. This initiative is part of GSA's ongoing efforts to ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and sustainability in federal facilities. The primary goal is to maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally sustainable environment for all courthouse users while adhering to national custodial specifications.

The scope of work for this contract encompasses a comprehensive range of custodial services both inside and outside the courthouse premises. Interior services include floor care, carpet cleaning, maintenance of restrooms and break rooms, cleaning of frequently touched surfaces, trash disposal, window washing, and care for interior plants. Additionally, special attention is given to maintaining historic buildings and art collections within the facility.

Exterior services involve cleaning tasks such as window washing, graffiti removal, trash management, snow removal during winter months, and general policing of outdoor areas. Grounds maintenance tasks are also included in the contract scope such as landscape management including mowing, edging, fertilization, pest management through integrated pest control plans (IPM), composting practices for sustainability purposes.

To support environmental goals aligned with GSA policies on sustainability; contractors are expected to implement sustainable purchasing practices by using eco-friendly products that meet specified standards while providing proof compliance through documentation like Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Furthermore; solid waste management programs are emphasized with requirements around recycling initiatives ensuring proper disposal methods alongside accurate reporting records pertaining these activities over time.
