Description

The General Services Administration (GSA) is undertaking market research to assess capabilities related to providing grounds maintenance services at key federal locations in San Francisco, California. This initiative seeks to ensure that the Philip Burton Federal Building and the James R. Browning United States Court of Appeals are maintained to high standards, reflecting the importance of these sites within the federal infrastructure. The GSA's overall goal is to engage with industry partners who can deliver reliable and efficient maintenance services that uphold the aesthetic and functional integrity of these federal properties.

The contract will cover a base year from February 1, 2027, through January 31, 2028, with four additional option years extending through January 31, 2032. Throughout this period, selected contractors will be responsible for a comprehensive range of grounds maintenance tasks. These tasks include but are not limited to lawn care, landscaping upkeep, plant bed management, irrigation system maintenance, and seasonal clean-ups. By maintaining these sites meticulously, the GSA aims to create an environment that is both welcoming for visitors and conducive for employees working within these buildings.

In addition to routine groundskeeping activities, contractors may also be required to execute specialized tasks as needed. This could involve pest control measures specific to outdoor areas or implementing sustainable landscaping practices that align with federal environmental policies. The objective is not only to preserve the visual appeal of these historic sites but also to contribute positively towards sustainability goals by adopting eco-friendly practices wherever feasible.
