GSA AAS - USMC Regional Radio Systems Maintenance and Support - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), through its Assisted Acquisition Services (AAS), is conducting a market research initiative on behalf of the Marine Corps Installations West (MCI West) G6. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather data from potential contract holders to assist in determining the capabilities available in the marketplace for supporting regional radio systems. The information collected will be used solely for market research purposes and does not imply any obligation by the government to proceed with a solicitation or procurement action.

The focus of this RFI is on the maintenance and support of various radio communication systems utilized by MCI West's Radio Services Branch. These systems play a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication across Marine Corps installations in the southwestern United States. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the Enterprise Land Mobile Radio (E-LMR) Western Region Infrastructure system, Low Altitude Radio Communications System (LARCS), Microwave Transport Network (MTN), Very High Frequency (VHF) Conventional LMR, Interoperable Telecommunications Systems (ITS), Rapid Response System (RRS), and other long-haul communications systems.

The Low Altitude Range Communications System (LARCS) is particularly vital as it enables effective communication between range users and Range Control using native radio equipment. This capability ensures that training operations can continue without interruption across five installations, including MCB Camp Pendleton. The continuous evolution of these services underscores their importance in maintaining operational readiness and safety during training exercises.
