Background
The contract is issued by the Spangdahlem Fitness Center, which aims to enhance the fitness, strength, and flexibility of participants through a variety of group exercise classes.

The goal of this contract is to provide qualified group exercise instructors who will conduct fitness classes such as aerobics, indoor cycling, and strength training to support the center's mission of promoting physical fitness among its members.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 group exercise classes weekly at the Spangdahlem Fitness Center (Bldg. 580), operating Monday through Saturday.

Class types and schedules will be determined by the fitness center director, with class sizes limited to 30 students. Instructors must have 24/7 access to the facility for classes on U.S. holidays and other designated days. The contractor is responsible for all personnel, transportation, music, tools, materials, supervision, and other necessary items for conducting aerobic classes.

Instructors must hold valid certifications from accredited health/fitness organizations and maintain current first aid and CPR certifications. Classes should focus on aerobics, strength, and flexibility conditioning appropriate for fitness development. The contractor must ensure that all students are above the age of 16 unless they are accompanied by a qualified adult. Classes may be postponed or canceled due to various reasons including base commitments or instructor shortages, with prior notification required. The contractor must provide a list of certified instructors to the COR weekly and ensure they arrive on time for classes. A contract manager will oversee daily operations and coordinate with the COR.
