Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is seeking contractors for grounds maintenance services at the Hammond, LA Air and Marine Branch. The mission of DHS includes ensuring the safety and security of the nation. This contract aims to maintain the operational readiness and aesthetic quality of the facility through effective grounds management.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to: mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, mulching, planting flowers and shrubs, maintaining trees and shrubs, cleaning debris from sidewalks and parking lots, and ensuring that all grounds are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing grass areas as needed to maintain a height of 2-3 inches.
- Trimming around trees, fences, buildings, and other obstacles.
- Edging along sidewalks and flower beds.
- Weeding flower beds and landscaped areas.
- Mulching around trees and flower beds as necessary.
- Planting seasonal flowers as directed by the facility manager.
- Pruning shrubs to promote healthy growth.
- Removing leaves and debris from all paved areas weekly or as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year with options for renewal or extension based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Hammond, Louisiana, specifically within the Tangipahoa Parish area.
