Background
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service is seeking contractors to provide supplies for the installation of campground infrastructure across 164 campgrounds in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE). This initiative aims to reduce human/grizzly bear conflicts in developed campgrounds within occupied grizzly bear habitats.

The project is a continuation of Phase I completed in 2019, with additional infrastructure needs identified leading to this Phase II agreement. The partnership involves purchasing materials and supplies specifically for the Caribou-Targhee, Bridger-Teton, and Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forests.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the fabrication and delivery of the following bear-resistant products:
- 12 cu ft food storage containers
- 30 cu ft food storage containers
- 4 cu yd front load dumpsters
- 2 cu yd dumpsters.

Specifications include:
1. All products must be Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) approved.
2. Containers must have a powder-coat or TGIC polyester exterior coating in brown.
3. Minimum construction specifications include:
- 12 cu ft containers: Heavy-duty Carabiner secured drop down hinge single front door or dual side-pivot center close door configuration; minimum 15-inch leg height; maximum dimensions of 51 inches wide and 42 inches deep; minimum 14-gauge steel construction.
- 30 cu ft containers: Heavy-duty stainless-steel hinge and latch; minimum dimensions of 15-inch leg height; maximum dimensions of 51 inches wide, 42 inches deep, and 45 inches tall; minimum 14-gauge steel construction.
- 4 cu yd dumpsters: Preferred minimum thickness of 10-gauge steel for body wrap and lid; maximum dimensions of 90 inches wide, 60 inches deep, and 65 inches tall; dual front-loading lids with gravity release lid latches.

Period of Performance
The estimated ordering period will be from approximately August 15, 2025, to August 15, 2030.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the St. Anthony Work Center located at 499 N. 2400 E., St. Anthony, ID.
