Green Mountain & Finger Lakes Security Gate Repair

Background
The Green Mountain and Finger Lakes National Forests (GMFL NF) is issuing this contract to replace the security gate operator at the Supervisor's Office located in Mendon, Vermont. The goal of this contract is to enhance security measures at the facility by ensuring that the gate operates effectively and reliably.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish and install a new gate operator for the existing security gate at the GMFL NF Supervisor’s Office. The scope of work includes:

- Installing a new gate operator
- Connecting it to existing power and controls
- Integrating it with the existing gate
- Ensuring compatibility with existing contact and non-contact devices
- Leveling and reinforcing existing gate posts as necessary

Additionally, testing of the gate, operator, and controls is required to ensure proper functionality. All work must comply with manufacturer’s requirements and recommendations. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with no work permitted on weekends or federal holidays without prior authorization.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from June 1, 2025, to September 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Green Mountain & Finger Lakes National Forest Supervisor’s Office located at 4387 US Route 4, Mendon, VT 05701.
