Background
The contract is for the provision of maintenance, collection, and disposal services for various facilities at Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan. The contract type is a single-award Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) performance-based service contract comprised of Recurring and Non-Recurring work requirements. The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base period and six (6) one-year option periods.
Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded and performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. Contractors must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the contract. Contractors must be registered to do business in Japan and possess all valid permits and licenses as required by the contract.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the provision of all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, equipment, transportation, incidental engineering, and other items required to perform maintenance, collection and disposal services for Wastewater Treatment Sludge Hoppers, Sewage Lift Stations, Non-Potable Water Tanks, Septic Tanks and Grease Traps at Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan to include but not limited to Camp Kinser, MCAS Futenma, Camp Foster, Camp Lester, Camp Courtney, Camp Hansen, Camp Schwab, Central Training Area (CTA) and North Training Area (NTA). The tasks include both Recurring Work and Non-Recurring Work for each option period.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base period starting from 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2025. Additionally, there are six one-year option periods for both Recurring Work and Non-Recurring Work.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler in Okinawa Japan including various locations within the base such as Camp Kinser, MCAS Futenma, Camp Foster, Camp Lester, Camp Courtney, Camp Hansen, Camp Schwab, Central Training Area (CTA) and North Training Area (NTA).
