Background
The General Services Administration (GSA) is hosting an Industry Day event to connect subcontractors with shortlisted design-build firms for the Grand Portage Land Port of Entry project. This project aims to redesign and modernize the second largest Land Port of Entry in Minnesota, located within the Grand Portage Indian Reservation, enhancing national security and international commerce functions.

Work Details
The scope of work includes connecting subcontractors with design-build firms for the new Land Port of Entry (LPOE) project. The port will serve passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and pedestrians crossing between the United States and Neebing, Ontario, Canada.

The modernization will involve adding additional lanes and a wider commercial truck lane to reduce vehicle processing times for tourists and residents accessing local businesses.

Period of Performance
The anticipated project award is scheduled for May 2025.
