Government-Owned Fume Hood Maintenance Services-Long Beach VA

Background
The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (LBVAHCS) requires maintenance services for Government-Owned Fume Hood/Safety Cabinets. The goal of the contract is to ensure the proper functioning and safety of these systems through preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair services.

This contract will be a Firm, Fixed-Priced Contract for a one-year base period with four one-year options.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all parts, labor, transportation, equipment, supervision, and certified personnel to perform on-site bi-annual and monthly inspections and certifications of Government-owned fume hoods, ventilation devices, biological safety cabinets (BSC), Laminar Flow Devices, isolators, biosafety hazard hoods, sterile workbenches, radiation safety hoods, buffer areas, ante spaces, and pharmacy clean rooms.

Services include:
1. Non-Cycle Day Visits: Conducting particle counting as per USP 797 and ISO14655-1 (1999) for various areas tested to ISO Class 7 and Class 8 criteria.
2. Additional tests including HEPA filter integrity challenge, airflow rate measurement, room air changes assessment, pressure differential testing, and documentation of results.
3. Collection of airborne and surface samples in specified locations.
4. Provision of necessary factory-certified equipment parts at the contractor's expense for normal wear and tear or failure.
5. Labor for testing and certification without limitation on hours within the contract coverage period.
6. Acknowledgment of service requests within 2 hours.
