The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for supply, replacement, and repair of battery systems at FAA National Air Space (NAS) facilities located in the United States and its Territories.

All work must be accomplished in accordance with the SIR and attachments. It is anticipated that a multiple-award contract with Firm Fixed-Price and Labor Hour pricing arrangement will be awarded as a result of this solicitation. The NAICS code applicable to this requirement is 335910. The business size standard for this NAICS is 1,250 employees.

Contractors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM,) www.sam.gov on the date established for receipt of Offers. Reference AMS Clause 3.3.1-33, paragraph (d), "if the Offeror does not become registered in the SAM database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer may proceed to award to the next otherwise successful registered Offeror."

Background
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for supply, replacement, and repair of battery systems at FAA National Air Space (NAS) facilities located in the United States and its Territories. All work must be accomplished in accordance with the SIR and attachments. It is anticipated that a multiple-award contract with Firm Fixed-Price and Labor Hour pricing arrangement will be awarded as a result of this solicitation.

Work Details
Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) Battery Systems and Services: The estimated dollar amount for all task orders submitted under the multiple award contracts is a combined total value of $XXX,XXX,XXX (not to exceed) for the base and all option periods. This is a Multiple Award (MA) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task order contract with Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) and Labor Hour (LH) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). The base period of performance is from the date of contract award through twelve (12) months, with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. If all options are exercised, the total period of performance is expected to be five (5) years.

Period of Performance
The effective period of this contract is twelve months from the date of contract award, or may be extended by option(s) issued hereunder.

Place of Performance
The effort required by this contract must be performed at the contractor facility and various FAA locations and will be specified in the individual task/delivery orders.
