Description

This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for Wastewater Pumps and Accessories for Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (GLCA). Please see attached solicitation document for further details and instructions.
Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of wastewater pumps and accessories for the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area (GLCA). The goal of this contract is to replace critical lift station pumps within the Wahweap Wastewater System to ensure service continuity for park concessionaires at the Wahweap Resort and all Wastewater Utility Mains at Wahweap Marina. The current pumps have exceeded their expected lifespan and are costly to maintain, necessitating this replacement.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish equipment necessary to provide GLCA wastewater pumps. The project involves replacing critical lift station pumps along with associated materials. New purchased pumps must be compatible with the existing wastewater system. Specifically, the following items are required:

1. Submersible sewage pump, 4" discharge, cast iron construction, multi-channel impeller, 3" solids handling, thermal & seal sensors, 70 HP, 1800 RPM submersible motor with a 50-foot power cable (Homa AKX434-3 or equivalent).

2. GO Switch Pump Protection & Monitoring Module (Homa GS1050 or equivalent).

3. Adapter claw for 4" Flygt discharge elbow/rail system (Homa 7320961 or equivalent).

4. Heavy duty submersible sewage pump, 4" discharge, cast iron construction, single-channel impeller, 10.4 HP submersible motor with a 50-foot power cable (Homa AMS434-4 or equivalent).

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from December 18, 2024, to March 18, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Wahweap Wastewater System within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in Page, Arizona.
