GLCA LF Water Tank Line Replacement

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking quotations for construction services related to the replacement of the water tank fill line at Lee's Ferry, located in the Glen Canyon National Recreational Area. The project aims to ensure the integrity and functionality of the water supply system, which is crucial for maintaining services in this area. The NPS intends to conduct this acquisition using simplified acquisition procedures.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and construction services necessary for the following tasks:
- Install a temporary drinking water storage tank (minimum 12,000 gallons) and pressurization system connected as a bypass to the existing water storage tank.
- Remove existing water supply pipe and supports from the water tank, including in-ground portions of the fill line.
- Replace existing air relief and isolation valves adjacent to the tank with new ones that meet industry standards.
- Install new 3-inch diameter epoxy-coated pipe along with necessary supports and brackets.
- Conduct pressure testing and disinfection of the repaired tank to comply with EPA drinking water standards using Sodium Hypochlorite or Calcium Hypochlorite.
- Paint exterior surfaces of new installations to match existing colors and touch up interior paint as needed with NSF/ANSI 61 certified materials.
- Backfill any trenches or holes created during pipe replacement and restore disturbed areas to original condition or better.

Period of Performance
The work shall be completed within 60 calendar days from the start date provided on the Notice to Proceed.

Lee's Ferry, Marble Canyon, Arizona 86036.

Bidder Requirements
A payment bond is required for contracts over $35,000; performance bonds are required for contracts over $150,000. Bidders must submit their quotes via email by the specified deadline and provide documentation demonstrating their technical capability and prior experience on similar projects.
