Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District is issuing this solicitation for maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW), specifically the Texas Channel to Victoria, located in Calhoun and Victoria County, Texas.

The mission of the USACE is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to ensure navigable waterways through effective dredging operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for performing maintenance dredging along the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from the Texas Channel to Victoria. This includes excavation and removal of sediment and debris to maintain navigable depths. The contractor must comply with all technical specifications outlined in the solicitation documents, including disposal of excavated material and qualifications for dredging operations.

Specific requirements include:
- The contractor shall not use self-propelled hopper dredges unless specified otherwise.
- The contractor must provide a statement regarding their experience with shallow draft channels.
