Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8 intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of part 13.106-1(b). The identified vendor is AE Medical Technologies, Inc. as a Local authorized representative.

Work Details
Provide all labor, equipment and materials for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the systems hardware and software included under schedule A (item 2.2) herein located in the VA Caribbean Healthcare System (San Juan & Mayaguez OPC) for One Base Year and four years option periods. Tasks include thorough inspection of equipment, replacement of defective parts with New Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts or software, cleaning, calibration, adjustment of components, operational tests after each maintenance service, quarterly inspections, quality control tests, verification of internal parameters to the steam sterilizers, quarterly preventive maintenance services per system manufacturer’s recommendations and procedures, training and certification for service and maintenance personnel, deep cleaning of steam sterilizer chamber quarterly per year, providing and installing any software update, patches and enhancement intended to update system software version or correct software errors and deficiencies. Unlimited 24/7 on-site service and technical support including calls during holidays and after hours is required.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over One Base Year and four years option periods.

The contract will be performed at VA Caribbean Healthcare System (San Juan & Mayaguez OPC), located at #10 Calle Casia Suite #4M440 San Juan PR 00921-3201.
