Background
The contract is issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for the provision of compactor and container lease and emptying services at DLA Distribution Europe, located in Germersheim, Germany. The mission of DLA is to provide logistics support to the military and other government agencies, ensuring efficient waste management and disposal services at their facilities.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide two hydraulically operated trash compactors with a fill capacity of 20 cubic meters each, ensuring they are mechanically and electrically safe and compliant with host nation laws. Additionally, four trash containers with a minimum capacity of 34 cubic meters shall be provided without compacting features. These containers will be placed at specified locations: two paper containers east of building 7962 and two mixed packaging containers north of buildings 7957/7958.

The Contractor is responsible for emptying the containers upon notification from the Government point of contact (POC) and replacing them with identical containers. The area around the containers must remain clear for truck access. The vendor must comply with all security requirements for access to the Germersheim facility, including adherence to Army in Europe regulations regarding installation access control.

The Contractor is also responsible for delivering equipment to designated locations on the effective date of the first delivery order, maintaining equipment reliability, and addressing any servicing requests promptly.
