Geographic Information System Support Specialist   2

Background
The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) is issuing this solicitation for Geographic Information System (GIS) Support as part of the San Carlos Irrigation Project (SCIP). The mission of the BIA is to manage and protect the trust assets of American Indians. This contract aims to enhance SCIP's operational efficiency in managing its electric utility services across multiple counties in Arizona.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive daily on-site GIS project manager responsible for confirming the completion of work by the SCIP Power Division (SCIP-PD). The GIS project manager will document new construction sites in the BIA GIS, ensuring that extensive data is updated to assist SCIP in managing its service area assets effectively.

The power system includes:
- 29 electrical substations
- 250 miles of 69 kV transmission lines
- 700 miles of overhead three-phase primary distribution
- Various other distribution systems totaling approximately 2,500 square miles of service territory with around 13,000 service locations.

Period of Performance
The total contract term is for 2160 hours, which will be allocated over the duration necessary to fulfill the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed across four counties in Arizona: Gila, Maricopa, Pima, and Pinal.
