Geo Tab Telematics

The USDA Farm Production and Conservation - Business Center (FPAC-BC) is seeking quotes for Geo Tab telematics GPS equipment, shipping, installation, FOBs, and monthly service. The government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price delivery order for a base period of one year and four one-year option periods. The telematics devices will be used to outfit up to 6,472 agency-owned vehicles in the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) fleet. The implementation will be done in four phases, with each phase expected to take two to three months. The telematics devices must be compatible with the telematics system currently used by the NRCS under its pilot project.

The purpose of this procurement is to collect real-time data on motor vehicles in the NRCS fleet, track costs and utilization, and reduce administrative burden. The telematics devices will provide more accurate data for compliance with federal reporting requirements and improve fleet operations and driver safety. The devices will be integrated into the FPAC Vehicle Management Tool (VMT), USDA dashboards, and other federal fleet systems. The contractor will provide hardware, software, installation services, training, and ongoing technical support.

The period of performance for the base contract is from September 30, 2021, to September 29, 2022. The option periods extend through September 29, 2026. The place of performance will be at various locations where the NRCS-owned vehicles are located. The contractor will ship the hardware to a centralized location or multiple locations as determined by the FPAC Business Center.

This procurement is being conducted on an unrestricted basis and is being awarded against Geotab USA, Inc.'s GSA Multiple Award Schedule Contract Number GS-35F-164GA. Geotab was selected as the sole source for this procurement due to their unique qualifications and ability to provide the required supplies and services that meet the agency's needs. They have been selected by GSA to provide telematics solutions for federal agencies, including large and geographically decentralized fleets.
