Description

The 48th Contracting Squadron seeks feedback/sources from companies/entities capable of performing backup generator maintenance and routine repair services at Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell. This is for market research purposes only. Please see all attachments for more information.

Background
The 48th Contracting Squadron of the United States Air Force is conducting market research to identify companies capable of providing backup generator maintenance and routine repair services at Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath and RAF Feltwell.

The goal of this contract is to ensure continuous operational readiness of generator systems at these bases, which are critical for mission support.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1.3.1. Preventative Maintenance: Inspect and test Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) generator systems and transfer switches according to the Unified Facilities Operation and Maintenance: Generators (UFC 3-540-07), manufacturer’s manual, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

1.3.2. NWT Remediation: Perform routine repairs and component replacements due to Normal Wear and Tear (NWT) to maintain operational readiness, including replacing consumables such as filtration parts, fluids, lubricants, seals, belts, hoses, and ignition components within 48 hours of inspection. Report any significant issues immediately to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Notify the COR in writing within 2 business days of any proposed modifications or substantial repairs identified during maintenance.

1.3.3. Supplemental Work: Notify the Contracting Officer (CO) immediately when supplemental work is required beyond minor repairs; submit a detailed quotation including lead times for parts/services and itemized costs for materials and labor.

1.3.4. Coordination: Submit a monthly maintenance schedule to the COR at least 10 business days before the end of each month and request any changes via email with a minimum notice of 48 hours.
