Generator Maintenance and Annual Load Bank/Testing   3

Background
This solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for Generator Maintenance and Load Bank Testing services at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center in Leavenworth and the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, Kansas.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that all emergency generators are maintained according to manufacturer specifications and federal regulations, thereby supporting critical healthcare services for veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials, tools, OEM parts, and specialized test instruments to perform annual load bank testing and maintenance on the Medical Center’s generators.

Services include:
1. Annual & Semi-annual Maintenance & Load Bank Testing as per Statement of Work (SOW).
2. Unscheduled Fuel Cleaning and Polishing as needed via separate task orders.
3. Unscheduled Maintenance and Emergency Repairs not covered under preventive maintenance as specified in the SOW.
4. Tri-annual 4-Hour Load Testing conducted once per year.
5. Compliance with NFPA 110 Annex A - EPSS Maintenance Schedule, OSHA, NETA, NFPA 70B, NFPA 99 standards.
6. Coordination of standby generator locations with existing emergency generator switchboard locations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a five-year period with specific ordering periods beginning on March 12 each year and ending on March 11 of the following year.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center located at 4101 South 4th Street, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center located at 220 Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66222.
