Background
This solicitation is issued by the U.S. Embassy for general electrical restoration and lighting improvements at the ILA San Salvador Compound in El Salvador. The goal of this contract is to enhance the electrical systems and lighting within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, materials, equipment, connectors, new cabling, accessories, transportation, supervision, and any other requirements necessary for the execution of the activities described in the scope of work. The total price must include all labor, materials, insurances, overhead, and profit. The contractor will not be reimbursed for VAT under this contract as the U.S. Embassy has a tax exemption certificate with the host government.

Deliverables include:
- Section G: Securities/Insurance - 1 item due 10 days after award
- Section E: Construction Schedule - 1 item due 5 days after Notice to Proceed (NTP)
- Section E: Preconstruction Conference - 1 item due 10 days after NTP
- Section F: Payment Request - 8 divisions of specifications due after acceptance of each line item
- Section D: Request for Substantial Completion - 1 item due 5 days before inspection
- Section D: Request for Final Acceptance - 1 item due 5 days before inspection.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet several requirements including: being technically qualified and financially responsible; having an established business in El Salvador for at least five years; demonstrating prior construction experience with suitable references; possessing necessary personnel and equipment; having all required licenses and permits; meeting local insurance requirements; being able to obtain performance security; having no adverse criminal record; and having no political or business affiliations contrary to U.S. interests.
