General cleaning & Gardening services at Govt-owned CMR

Background
The U.S. Government, through the United States Embassy in Asuncion, Paraguay, is seeking to award a contract for general cleaning and gardening services at the Chief of Mission Residence (CMR) located at Dr. Weiss #355.

The goal of this contract is to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the residence, which is essential for the representational responsibilities of the U.S. mission.

Work Details
The Contractor shall perform general cleaning and gardening services, including but not limited to:

1. General Cleaning Services: Regular cleaning of all designated areas within the CMR, ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained.

2. Gardening Services: Maintenance of grass, shrubbery, garden areas, trees, and related landscape elements. This includes grass cutting (maintaining height between 4-6 cm), edging sidewalks and driveways, trimming around trees and structures, weeding gardens continuously, turf repair as necessary, and pruning shrubs and trees to encourage healthy growth. The Contractor must also develop a Grounds Maintenance Plan detailing the frequency of these tasks.

3. Management and Supervision: The Contractor must designate a representative for on-site supervision who can communicate effectively with U.S. Government personnel. Regular inspection visits for quality control will be required.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base period of 12 months with options for up to four additional years based on performance.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have experience in providing similar services and must designate a supervisor with sufficient English language skills for effective communication with U.S. Government staff. Compliance with local labor laws and regulations is mandatory.
