GE G5 Gen Update - Generator Converter Unit

Contract N6833521C0278 was awarded on 28 June 2021 to GE Aviation Systems, LLC (GEAS). This Contract, N6833521C0278 is a cost-reimbursement contract in accordance with Naval Aviation Propulsion and Power Technology Development Programs, Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) 121 - Advanced Aircraft Power Systems and the Proposal submitted by GEAS. This Research and Development (R&D) effort shall result in the development of a Generator Converter Unit (GCU) 400Hz, 100kVA electrical power generation system prototype consisting of a high power density variable frequency generator (VFG) and an integrated Converter/Generator Control Unit (C/GCU) to support increased power requirements on the EA-18 Growler and F/A-18 Super Hornet.

The total cost of this contract is not to exceed (NTE) $2,889,145.15.
