Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Gatehouse Furnace Replacement, Colebrook River Lake, Colebrook, CT.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF: The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove one (1) existing oil fired forced warm air furnace system and replace with one (1) brand new, oil fired up-flow (highboy) warm air furnace system (175K-200K BTUs), with minimum Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating of 87%. The work area is located at Colebrook River Lake, 426A/B Colebrook River Road, Colebrook, CT 06021.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.

ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for the Gatehouse Furnace Replacement project at Colebrook River Lake, located in Colebrook, CT. The mission of the Corps is to provide vital engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to replace an existing oil-fired furnace system with a new energy-efficient model.

Work Details
The work consists of removing one (1) existing oil-fired forced warm air furnace system and replacing it with one (1) brand new oil-fired up-flow (highboy) warm air furnace system with an output capacity of 175K-200K BTUs and a minimum Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating of 87%.

All work must comply with local, state, and federal laws and be performed to the satisfaction of the Technical Point of Contact. The work area is located at Colebrook River Lake, 426A/B Colebrook River Road, Colebrook, CT 06021. The Contractor must ensure safety compliance according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Occupational Health Requirements (EM 385-1-1) and all applicable OSHA regulations. The Contractor is also responsible for preparing a site-specific Accident Prevention Plan and conducting daily safety meetings.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance will be one hundred twenty (120) days after contract award.
