Gas Cylinder Rentals and Swaps

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Vicksburg District (USACE-MVK) is seeking to award a sole source purchase order to Airgas USA, LLC for the rental and delivery of gas cylinders required for the Mat Sinking Unit's operations along the Mississippi River from Cairo, IL to New Orleans, LA.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the Mat Sinking Unit has access to necessary gas supplies throughout the year.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide rental services for various sizes of gas cylinders and facilitate the swapping of empty cylinders for full ones as needed. The specific requirements include:
- 23 each of Size 4 Industrial Grade Acetylene – CY-AC 4 – CGA 510 Connection
- 14 each of Size 300 Industrial Grade Argon – CY-AR 300 – CGA 580 Connection
- 8 each of Size 300 Industrial Grade 75/25 Argon/Carbon Dioxide Mix – CY-AR CD25300 – CGA 580 Connection
- 39 each of Size 200 Industrial Grade Oxygen – CY-AR 200 – CGA 540 Connection
- 4 each of Size 80 Industrial Grade Argon – CY-AR 80 – CGA 580 Connection
- 11 each of 20 LB Food Grade Carbon Dioxide – CY-CD FG20 – CGA 320 Washer
- 2 each of Size MC Acetylene – CY-AC MC – CGA 200 Connection
- 4 each of Size 20 Industrial Grade Oxygen – CY OX 20 – CGA 540 Connection
- 5 each of Size D Medical Oxygen – CY-OX USPDBIR – CGA V.

The total cost for these services shall not exceed $200,000 over a five-year period, averaging $40,000 per year. All cylinder swaps will occur at the Mat Sinking Unit located at Vicksburg, MS.
