Background
The contract is for the resurfacing of external pathways, alteration to a basement concrete slab, supply and installation of a pallet racking system within the Embassy compound, and design and manufacture of a new cantilever safety gate to the building maintenance docking area at the US Embassy in London. The solicitation was issued by the American Consulate General Frankfurt.

Work Details
The work includes resurfacing external pathways, altering a basement concrete slab, supplying and installing pallet racking within the Embassy compound. The contractor is required to familiarize themselves with the specification and related documentation, provide health and safety documentation, transport, materials, labor, certifications/warranties/permits, commissioning, and produce health and safety file, quality reports, certificates, warranties, as-built drawings and O & M manuals upon completion.
Quality control requirements include implementing a quality management plan for the project, completing quality control inspections throughout the project duration, and providing documentation of any known defects at handover. The contractor is also required to visit the site for surveying, construct temporary fencing to zone the work away from visitors and public, provide protection to surrounding paved areas during excavation, scan the complete area for services prior to excavation, and comply with relevant British Standards. Additionally, the contractor must complete excavation and sub-grade work for existing and new paths with specific requirements for materials and processes.
The work also includes removal of concrete slab areas A & B in the basement, extension of concrete slab C, infilling areas with specified concrete specifications including steel reinforcement mesh installation. Furthermore, the contractor is responsible for supplying and installing new conventional pallet racking with end-of-row guards as well as designing and manufacturing a new cantilever gate for the building maintenance unit docking area. Upon completion of all work, the contractor is required to remove debris from site and provide a completion health & safety file.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract extends until October 15th, 2023.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed within the US Embassy compound located at 33 Nine Elms Lane in London.
