Background
The US Forest Service (USFS) is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the reconstruction of the Timberlane Campground, which was originally built in 1965 and donated to the USFS. The campground serves as a multiple-use facility with approximately 14 individual campsites, trails, and a pavilion for day use, also utilized for school field trips.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the campground facilities to better serve the public.

Work Details
The project involves constructing and reconstructing various camping facilities, roads, and parking areas at Timberlane Campground located on the Kootenai National Forest. The work includes:
- Base Bid: Improvements including roadwork (2290 LF), parking, site signage, fee station & bulletin board display, utilities, demolition and salvage, installation of 1791 LF HDPE pipe, water hydrants, 1005 LF buried site power to new host camp, improvements to water control building, rehabilitation of 2 vault toilets and relocation of 2 vault toilets, construction of a dumpster enclosure, campground sitework including earthwork and grading, hauling imported fill materials, development of 17 camp units, campground trails, and site revegetation.

- Additive Alternates (Optional Work Items): These include construction of 6 additional RV and tent campground units, a pavilion, up to 2 group camp use fire pits with benches, additional picnic tables, an additional dumpster enclosure, site electrical power to 2 camp units and the pavilion, and asphalt paving (69988 SF) for all campground roads, parking areas and spurs.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from April 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The Timberlane Campground is located in northwest Montana about 7.8 miles north of the Hwy 37 Kootenai River Bridge in Libby, Montana.
