GAOA Escalante Ranger District Housing Upgrade   2

Background
The United States Forest Service is seeking contractors for the GAOA Escalante Ranger District Housing Upgrade project, which aims to remodel existing facilities to enhance housing for personnel. This project is part of the agency's mission to maintain and improve infrastructure within the national forests, ensuring that facilities meet current standards and provide adequate living conditions for staff.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- remodeling the existing Escalante bunkhouse building;
- converting an existing storage building into a laundry facility;
- upgrading windows in two existing dwelling buildings.

Specific tasks include demolition of walls, framing, installation of carpet and vinyl flooring, siding, gypsum board, doors and hardware, plumbing fixtures, lighting, wiring, and appliances. The base bid encompasses all necessary materials and labor for these tasks. Additionally, there are optional bid items for constructing tiny homes at specified locations with similar construction requirements as outlined in the specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from September 30, 2024, to September 29, 2025.

Place of Performance
The project will be executed at multiple locations within the Escalante Ranger District of the Dixie National Forest in Garfield County, Utah.
