Background
The USDA Forest Service is issuing this contract for the GAOA Chimney Rock Paving project located in the San Juan National Forest. The mission of the agency is to manage and protect the nation's forests and grasslands, ensuring their health, diversity, and productivity for present and future generations.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the infrastructure of Chimney Rock by improving road conditions through specific construction tasks.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for removing and salvaging existing parking blocks, reconditioning, reshaping, and compacting the road subsurface, followed by the installation of asphalt paving in accordance with the provided plans and specifications.

The scope includes:
1) Remove, salvage, and replace curb stops;
2) Road reconditioning;
3) Reshaping and compaction of road subsurface;
4) Installation of asphalt concrete pavement as per Statement of Work (SOW) and applicable drawings/specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed within a timeframe of 60 days after notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Chimney Rock, accessible from the Pagosa Ranger District Office by traveling west on US Highway 160 toward Durango for 17 miles, then turning left onto State Highway 151 for 2 miles.
