Background
The solicitation is for the Galveston Harbor Channel, Texas Pelican Island Placement Area FY 24 Placement Area Improvements. The work involves construction tasks such as mobilization and demobilization, clearing, grubbing, removal of debris, semi-compacted dike construction, semi-compacted stability berm construction, semi-compacted containment dike construction, training dike uncompacted random fill, stripping, turfing, perimeter ditching, lateral ditching, demolition of existing drop-inlet structure and crested weir structure. Fabrication and installation of new drop-inlet structures and discharge piping, riprap installation, geotextile fabric installation, access road construction, as-built drawings creation, final condition surveys.

Fabrication and installation of new drop-inlet structures in Dike_AB and Cell C; fabrication and installation of new discharge piping and riprap installation. Additionally, the work involves the installation of geotextile fabric at various locations and the construction of an access road. As-built drawings creation and final condition surveys are also part of the contract requirements.
