Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office is issuing a contract for the FY25 Galveston Entrance Channel and Houston Ship Channel Bolivar to Redfish Hopper Dredging project. This contract aims to support the agency's mission of maintaining navigable waterways and ensuring safe passage for maritime traffic in Galveston and Chambers County, Texas.

The solicitation is 100% unrestricted, allowing all qualified contractors to participate.

Work Details
The scope of this contract includes hopper dredging of the Galveston Entrance Channel and the adjacent Houston Ship Channel from Bolivar to Redfish Reach. An option for beneficial use beach placement (pump-out) at the west end of Galveston Beach, starting at Sunbather Lane, will cover incremental costs related to placing material on the beach instead of using the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS).

Additional potential contract options may include dredging of the Galveston Harbor and the Galveston Extended Entrance Channel. The completion time for Schedule No. 1 is estimated at 125 calendar days after acknowledgment of the Notice to Proceed, with liquidated damages applicable for delays. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price with an estimated magnitude exceeding $10 million.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin work within 10 calendar days after acknowledgment of the Notice to Proceed, with an estimated completion time of 125 calendar days thereafter.
