Gallup Service Unit: Non-Personal Healthcare Services – General Surgeon & Orthopedist   2

Background
The Gallup Service Unit, part of the Indian Health Service (IHS), is seeking to contract for non-personal healthcare services, specifically for General Surgeon and Orthopedist Physician services.

IHS is a federal agency under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that provides health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The goal of this contract is to ensure comprehensive and culturally acceptable health services are available to these populations, particularly in remote areas where there is a shortage of medical providers.

The Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) serves as a critical healthcare facility for the Navajo Nation, providing extensive outpatient and inpatient care.

Work Details
The contractor will provide non-personal healthcare services including:
1. General Surgeon Physician Services:
- Estimated Regular Hours: 4500 Hours
- Estimated Weeknight Call: 4-6 Calls
- Estimated Weekend Call: 2-3 Calls
- Estimated Call Back: 480 Hours
- Duties include outpatient and inpatient surgical care as per Attachment A - Performance Work Statement.
2. Orthopedist Physician Services:
- Same estimated hours and call requirements as above.
- Duties include outpatient and inpatient orthopedic care as per Attachment B - Performance Work Statement.
3. Compliance with IHS standards for medical records, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to the Federal Code of Conduct is mandatory. The contractor must also manage patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period spans from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, with options for extensions based on performance evaluations.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Gallup Indian Medical Center located at 1808 West Aztec Avenue, Gallup, NM 87301.
